Dear FIGBC families,

 

It is spring time and kids are happy to be out and about in good weather.  I just wanted to remind parents to be watching your own kids after 12pm.  We have seen kids running all over the place without supervision, which is not appropriate.  So here is a repeat of our guidelines:

 

1.  Kids are free only in the gym, if they go outside of the gym, they need adult supervision.  So during and after lunch, please know where your kids are. If you see kids out by themselves, please help us by telling them to come into the gym.  Eating outside is a borderline activity, I will say it is ok as long as they stay there; but it is not easy to control.

BCC has told us before our kids have ran all over the campus by themselves, including the parking lot (car danger) and going up the hill and behind the upper windows of the gym and Burkhart Hall.  Let’s prevent it from happening again and be a good guest.

 

2.  The creek is an off-limit to kids, it is not only dangerous, it is trespassing into private property.  BCC has repeated told us to make sure kids don’t go there.

 

3.  The Zone (room behind the gym, to the right), is closed after 12pm.  Kids cannot play in there. 

 

4.  David Wilson has been asking for volunteers at 10:45am, which is also trying to address kids “cutting” from his class (running loose when their parents think they’re in David’s youth class). 

 

Please talk to your kids about this, and let’s help each other to watch for kids not following these guidelines. 

For safety reasons and for orderly discipline as guests on BCC campus, we need to make sure we do our best to control them.
