This Weekend

To better accommodate families and teachers who will be traveling this Memorial Day weekend, please note that we are having a special large-group combined Sunday School class for 1st-4th grade students in Burkhart 620 at 9 a.m. this Sunday, while the 5th grade class will meet in Burkhart 623 as usual.  The second hour schedule will remain unchanged this weekend.

Summer 2012 Calendar is Here!

Have you seen the new, fun-filled summer calendar? See the attached PDF or visit any of our Family Ministries web pages for the link.

MSM News

All middle schoolers are invited to a day of miniature golf and pizza this Saturday (May 26).  We will meet at BCC at 2:45 p.m. and head to Golfland in Sunnyvale, then grab some pizza afterwards.  We’ll return to the church by 6 p.m.  The cost is $12.

Sunday Family Nights begin next weekend (June 3)

Sunday, June 3 will be the first meeting of our off-campus family Life Group that is specifically designed for parents and students.  Everyone will meet at 6 p.m. at the Durand house (1121 Remington Ct., Sunnyvale), with the exception of high school students, who will need to be dropped off at 6 p.m. at Starbucks (corner of Foothill and Homestead).  The evening will include Bible study and prayer for adults, and separate discussion and activities for the students.  High school students will be brought back to the Durand’s at the end and can be picked up there.  Please RSVP for childcare for children 0-5 with katie....@connectbcc.org.  Check the Family Ministry calendar (attached) for summer meeting dates.

Lost and Found items

As we wrap up the school year, please be sure to claim any of your student’s lost items by this coming Monday (May 28), as any unclaimed items will be given to a local charity next week.  The Lost and Found is located between the Gym and Burkhart Hall.

A note about the sermon on June 3

Please note that Pastor Steve’s sermon on Sunday, June 3 will touch upon adult-themed content that may be inappropriate for younger students.  While we will be discussing the passages (Genesis 38-50) in as modest a fashion as possible, we encourage parents to use discretion that morning.
