Dear FIG members:

 

We often hear about overseas missions, but there is so many Chinese students here in the United States that are willing to listen to the Gospel.  There is a Christian Witness Center (www.cwcnet.org ) near Kansas who specializes in serving the university students.  Every year many volunteers from Bay Area goes there as short term missionaries to help out and to experience being a “missionary.”  If God has given you a desire to try this, please see the info below and let me know, I will give you more information.

Hi Mark,

Thank you for your interest in mission work in Jesus, you are welcome to join our  MidWest short term mission trip. The trip lasts 10 days starting from late August. In 2011 the trip was from Aug.19 -28. We go to CWC to help them working in local churches and universities. Usually we will go to numbers of universities in different cities which involves in lots of driving which will be physically challenging. Because we will talk to college students or adult, it may be good for couples but not suitable for elder people or kids. We are focused on practicing personal testimony and personal evangelism.

 

Weekly training usually starts in May, so if you confirm that you will join us this year, please let us know by the end of April. Please contact me at 408-489-1319 for any questions.
