I'm trying to use facebox to get an effect similar to www.civilwarlan.com

I looked at their source and thats how I found facebox but they must
have changed something that I dont know about. I would like the
background of my page to darken when someone clicks a "pop up" like
theirs does. Also, how did they get the boarder around the "popup".
Any ideas on how to do this?

I'm still pretty new to web design (and css), especially java.

Thanks for all the support!

If you click any of the links (tournaments, registration, etc.), it
uses facebox. Thats what Im talking about. Just to clarify.

Thanks

Hey jake.
It is actually quite simple!

in facebox.js, on line 80
opacity : 0,

replace 0 to any value between 0 and 1 and voila.
Example 0.8 :) This is the one I like most!

Awesome! Thanks, is the boarder somewhere in the CSS?
I guess I'll poke around and try to figure something out for my
self :P (but help would be appreciated).

What do you mean by the boarder?

See on their facebox popup, there is a light grey rounded rectangle
around it. Mine just goes straight from the white box to the faded
background. I would like to get a light grey border around my
"popups"? Any ideas how to do that? I looked through the facebox.css
on their site and mine and it was identical...

facebox comes with a couple of .png images. Check your css file to
make sure it points to the location of those files. A way to test if
the images are loaded or not is to use web developer or firebug in
firefox, or Safari 4....
