How to add application on profile page tabs

Hi,
I am developing a facebook application in ROR.
I want my application name should appear on profile page where we
have walls, photos tabs.
I know that you can add tabs manually by clicking on "+" sign on
profile page and you can add the application there.
Can it be possible through coding?
Is there any API present?

I want something similar - to add an application tab to the user's
tabs when they install my application. Is this possible with
facebooker?

I think the user must add the tab herself. Specify a tab in the app
settings, so it will show up in the results when they click the new
tab ("+") button.
