There is no othere way that I know of... NIST will retain all rights
to the images therefore preventing anyone else from distributing them
(and rightly so). However, I don't know anyone who has had problems
obtaining the dataset... during the competition you had to actually
submit results on FRGC v1 before you could get FRGCv2 but I'm sure
that requirement will have been dropped now.
I'm including the frgc information below... is that the email you
used? Did you note that the request must come from a full time faculty
member?
