We are delighted to announce that seven new taught MLitt Degrees will be
offered in Philosophy starting in September 2007:
Metaphysics and Moral Philosophy
Metaphysics and Philosophy of Language
Metaphysics and Philosophy of Mind
Moral Philosophy and Philosophy of Mind
Moral Philosophy and Political Philosophy
Philosophy of Language and Moral Philosophy
Philosophy of Language and Philosophy of Mind
In addition, we would like to bring to your attention our existing MLitt
conversion course degree suitable for those who have not studied philosophy
before.
There are a number of University and Faculty scholarships available for
study for the MLitt degrees and for our research degrees, such as the PhD.
We also welcome applications from those seeking AHRC, Commonwealth, and
similar sources of funding. Further funding information is available at the
department’s website.
Set in the heart of Glasgow’s cosmopolitan West End and less than an hour to
Loch Lomond and the Highlands, the Department of Philosophy has a large and
vibrant graduate community. The department has a busy programme of talks,
workshops and conferences and is home to the Centre for the Study of
Perceptual Experience. The faculty have distinctive and recognised research
strengths in Philosophy of Mind, Epistemology, Metaphysics, Philosophical
Logic, Philosophy of Language, Philosophy of Mathematics, Moral and
Political Philosophy, Philosophy of Religion, Environmental Ethics and
History of Philosophy.
