Dear Friends and Colleagues,

This is to announce the creation of the website for the IACR Annual
Conference to be held in London from 11-13 July 2008 at King's
College London. The site can be accessed at
http://www.kcl.ac.uk/schools/law/events/iacr.

The title of the Conference is 'Grounds for Critique: Realism in the
Natural and Human Sciences', and there is a Call for Papers on the
website. We have written the Call in terms that we hope will attract
the largest number of offers of papers, and we hope that potential
participants will feel included within it. We are also in the process
of constructing a series of streams, which will cover the following:

Eurocentricity, 'Doing Critical Realism', the Nature and Impact of
Science and Technology, International Relations, Philosophy and the
Nature of Critique, Critical Realism in Education

We would, however, emphasise that this is not a complete list, and
that streaming will also depend on the papers that we are offered. We
would warmly encourage suggestions from others as to streams they
would like to see pursued. We have set a deadline for abstracts of
papers for Friday 7 March 2008.

Please feel free to contact me (Alan Norrie
<alan.w...@kcl.ac.uk>) if you have any suggestions or enquiries.
We look forward to seeing you in London next July!

All best wishes,

Alan Norrie
