Okay, I give up!

I have setup HylaFax (Working great for receiving) but I want to use the
WHFC for client access. I have been trying to setup the hosts file but
cannot seem to get it to accept the password. I am using a redhat 7.1
box. This is the entry I have added:

^tren@tren\.gw\.eotnetworks\.com$::usRXso4vTOccc:l9.CSNbRVVUtc

However it will not accept the password. I added that line using the
faxadduser command, and have also tried using the password from the
system passwd file, etc. It will not accept any password. What am I
missing?

Regards,

Tren

I know this is completely off topic, please respond offline if possible
(unless you think the group would be interested)...

Are there any open source automated phone systems out there like hylafax
for faxing? I figured some of you might be in more arena's than just
faxing and have some suggestions...

Nothing fancy, just something that people can call and pick 1,2,3 and then
hit an order number and then pick 1,2,3 again...

Anyone know of anything? Anyone want to start one if there isn't? :)

Maybe reading the man hosts.hfaxd, the FAQ section at
the website and a little section in the mailling list.

Point in fact, I've read the documentation. The entry as I stated was
generated by faxadduser. My question is, RedHat uses MD5 for it's crypt
library, does HylaFax use the system crypt library or it's own crypt
library, and why can it not decrypt an entry it creates?

Tren

Hi;

Okay, I found my problem. Thanks for your help Pedro. I was trying to
login as just "tren" when I had to use everything that I specified in
the username field. However, I thought that you used the user@host to
specify restrictions of where that user could login, but that doesn't
seem to work.

Any hints would be appreciated.

Regards,

Tren
