Highlights...
Currently I'm doing storyboards for the forthcoming BUZZ LIGHTYEAR - STAR
COMMAND series for Disney TV Animation, 65 half hours due to be aired in the
year 2,000.
Prior to that I did storyboards and directed a few episodes of JUMANJI, the
animated series for Sony Pictures.
Prior to that I was doing storyboards for ANGRY BEAVERS for Nickelodeon.
Prior to that I was a storyboard artist on FREAKAZOID at Warner BROS.
I'm in a rut!
In between all that I wrote the graphic novel adaptations for TOY STORY and
Disney's POCAHONTAS and HERCULES. I also wrote several short comic book
stories featuring the characters from HUNCHBACK, POCAHONTAS and HERCULES for
comics in South America. Never saw the astuff in English.
A couple of years ago I began doing pastel landscape paintings, mostly
relegated to weekends, but very pleasant and satisfying, especially working in
color.
Also I've been working on a vampire novel which is now about 80% done, but
will need some rewriting because I keep exploring alternative plot variations
and characters.
Also, I have three issues of a six-issue graphic novel epic written, with
layouts completed, as I await yet another publisher and/or movie studio to
"take a look" and "run it past the committee." It was close to a go ahead
with Kitchen Sink Press and with DC Comics, but there were some curious
circumstantial events that prevented it from happening. I've yet to show it
to anyone in Europe but personally I'd love to show it to Ervin Rustamagic or
Giorgio Cavazzano.
While I'm here, Alberto Bacattini used to have a website but last time I tried
to contact it, it wasn't there. I know he's out there, so if you read this,
Alberto, please get in touch.
Also I'd love to hear from Francois Cortegianni. Anyone?
Thanks for the question. Hope it helps. Talk to you again.
