Subject: scaling express.js

I'm wondering how would i scale my express.js app to utilize multiple
servers having X cores.

I did some search before posting but dint find a comprehensive solution.
Closest i could get was to use nginx as load balancer on top of multiple
expressjs instances on different machines.
However i'm not sure how much and what all code changes i need to do to
make nginx load balancing configuration work.

Regards,
Chirag Jain
