Export Ratings to ID3-Tags

Hi everyone,

I was thinking of writing a little script that exports all ratings
from the library to the ID3-Tags of the files.

Therefore I wanted to ask where I can find the documentary pages with
the needed information about the library.

is there at least someone who can tell me where the ratings are stored
and how they are stored...

When i was working with exaile, it was stored in some kind of python object serialized in a file, 

you don't really need to know where it is stored but how to access it, download the full source code and take a look at some plugin interacting with track info, should be quite easy to find imho.
