Family Tree DNA, the vendor who analyzes Y-DNA samples for the Ewing Surname Y-DNA project, has announced a sale between now and the end of the year. The Y-DNA37 test that we recommend starting with is on sale for $119, reduced from the usual price $149. If you or a male Ewing relative have been thinking about taking the test, this might be a good time to do it. Various 'upgrades' to more markers are also on sale, but it would be a good idea to check with me before ordering any of these to make sure additional tests will be helpful in answering your questions.
