Subject: Elections! Become an EWB-PSU officer!
Our next general meeting, Thursday May 27, 5:00pm, EB-510, will be
entirely dedicated to selecting our new officer corps for next year.

Becoming an EWB officer is a great way to get involved and we
encourage anyone interested to throw their name in the hat! There are
no restrictions based on major, position in program, or previous
experience or participation. If you have the desire to serve, we want
to hear from you!

Below is a tentative list of positions. If you'd like to put your name
in for a position, please send an email to cont...@ewbpsu.org letting
us know or with any questions.

President: Oversees activity of officers and represents organization
as a whole. Responsible for acting as a liaison to PSU and EWB-USA.
Responsible for running general meetings and managing and delegating
to membership.

Vice-President: Supports president's tasks and acts in stead of the
president. Also considered a president-in-training position with the
implication that the VP will be an ideal candidate for president in
the future.

Treasurer: Manages chapter finances and budgets. Makes necessary
deposits and withdrawals and tracks accounts. Reports chapter and
project financial status to president and project coordinators.

Secretary: Manages chapter communications and records. Responds to
inquiries, manages website and mailing list, makes meeting minutes
available and takes them at general meetings.

Local Project Coordinator: Point-person responsible for all local
projects. Coordinates resources (tangible and personal), manages
budgets, etc. Chairs project meetings when necessary. Acts as liaison
to partner organizations.

Nicaraguan Project Coordinator: Point-person responsible for projects
in Nicaragua. Coordinates resources (tangible and personal), manages
budgets, etc. Chairs project meetings when necessary. Acts as liaison
to partner organizations.

Project Leads: Each project should have one person who is the main
point of contact for that project. This person would be responsible
for chairing project meetings, keeping project data organized, and
organizing and delegating project tasks. We need project leads for our
two projects in Nicaragua (Dulce Nombre and Huehuete) as well as our
local projects (Ecocanopy, Learning Gardens).

Fundraising/Outreach Committee: Group of members responsible for
managing fundraising goals and efforts as well as establishing and
maintaining non-project related partnerships with other groups. This
is more of a volunteer position than an elected position.

Fundraising/Outreach Committee Chair: Point person for all fundraising/
outreach stuff. Heads committee, reports to other officers. Would be
elected from among the committee volunteers.
