anyone use the external tools "requestConfirmation" option?

does anyone use the "requestConfirmation" option on any of their
external tools? i'm trying to decouple ShellCommand from the other
code, and that gets in the way of making it immutable. for now, i've
just got it commented out, but i'm tempted to remove it.
