Hi,

Does anyone running Everest 5.0.2.6 on Terminal server? We've been running for awhile as an alternative to our desktops but found many reports gave error 588 sometimes with different error messages like issue with CZdll or printer is busy.

I like to know If you have experience moving into Wins7 Pro. as well. Everest indicated that Wins 7 Pro is not compatible with 5.0.2.6.

Thanks in advance.

Steve

Been running it for over a year I think. Win7 Pro on all stations. Never 1 problem.

Everest is not keeping up to date to save on their internal costs they have told us... this too the reason for V6 not tested for server 2008 Small Business platform. They only authorize it for the full blown $5,000 product. (small biz version about $600.00)  Thanks Everest. Keep pushing us away.

We've been running 5.0.2.5 for many years with not too many issues...

We upgraded about a month ago to 5.0.2.6 and it is working well also.

I have a lot of machines running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and I am actually testing it on Windows 8 Pro 64 bit. Everything is mostly ok.... There are a few minor issues with the 64 bit version so I wouldn't use them on a POS workstation, but, all other workstations I have no issues.

When running on Windows 7/8 I make sure that I run in Compatibility mode of XP service pack 3 and also "run as Administrator".. those two options allow Everest to run 99% correctly.

If yo need more details I can help you out with that.

Hello all,

Thanks for your help it seems TS is working now. We have to set up DEP on database server, application server and TS server. All three of them.

Next project: migrate to Win7 prof (32 or 64?) and upgrade all servers to win 2008.

Thanks again. You're awesome!
