Welcome to Google Groups version/mirror of Events In Sydney. For the
time being, this will be a duplicate of the original list as run over
at YahooGroups since 1999. It may supercede that list, but we'll see
just what happens. Just so you know, this list is eclectic and consists
of things I find interesting to do around Sydney. I am also always open
to suggestions for inclusions in the list. it is published twice
weekly. Monday or Tuesday and Thursday or friday. The beginning of the
week shows about 2 months in advance. The later list at the end of the
week shows any changes to the weekend that i have discovered/dreamed
up.
So - to show you how it goes...

It's November, guys, and that means that there are only a VERY few
shopping weeks left until your families make you feel guiloty for not
buying them presents, but saving up to go to every concert and event
coming up.It's OK - they'll love you anyhow... Nah, I'm not really that
cynical, just realist. After all... Kylie, U2, Billy Joel, Robbie
Williams? followed by the Sydney festival, Moonlight Cinema, St George
Outdoor Cinema. It's going to be a great end to this year and a great
start to next year. Also, Sydney has finally decided to go the way of
Brisbane and start releasing 'big-name' films at IMAX as well as at the
'normal' cinemas. keep a lookout here for upcoming releases (and
possible good neck masseurs ;))
FEASTING ON FLESH finishes this week - and you MUST get along to see
such a mouth-watering visual and sensual degaustation. On the other
hand, finishing up is DINOSAURS ALIVE is also stampeding out of the
Australian Museum, so this is your last chance to catch the live
excavation of fossils at the museum this week. Also, if you want a
festival which isn't fenced in, the GLEBE STREET FESTIVAL is happening
on Sunday all the way up Glebe Point Road.
On an even brighter note: those lingeried lovelies from THE ROCKY
HORROR PICTURE SHOW will be one this week at Greater Union George
Street. Pull on those fishnets, do up those corsets and strut your
stuff on the stage with them. Afterwards, or beforehand even, you can
stay dressed and swagger up to THE HELLFIRE CLUB on Oxford Street and
catch the great high-profile shows and fetish-friendly atmosphere and
overall have a stunning evening.

up-to-date (however, exclusions should be notified to the list-owner so
i can put them in ASAP).
