Many, many thanks to all of you who helped make etm better during the past few months.

It's been two whole weeks since an issue was mentioned that needed fixing - maybe we're getting close to production/stable.

As you know, I use ETM constantly.  Its the first thing I look at in the morning and the last thing I check at night.  I don't have any suggestions.  I was thinking about asking for the ability to open an entry by clicking on it in the main window, but am now used to it as is.  I was thinking about suggesting that @s produce today's date as a default, but again decided not to as that might cause more problems than it solves.  I don't much like the fact that entries don't show in the weekly calendar unless some @e time is added, but decided that the problem here was me, i.e. that I need to put in an @e entry in order to avoid conflicts.  I was also going to ask that the date at the bottom of the screen continue to show after cntrl-n is pushed, but decided not to as I have today's date elsewhere on my screen.  There are other things like this, which pop into my mind, but which, on reflection, I reject, because I need to change MY HABITS to conform to ETM's way of doing things.  After all, I see ETM as a life organizer and my life, if nothing else, could sure use some organization. If all my passing thoughts were implemented, ETM would soon be as disorganized as I am.

The end of the month is approaching and I often post a suggestion when I am "doing bills."  So I might add some kind of a post in a few days.  However, for now at least, I can't think of anything that would make ETM better.  It is working as intended, flawlessly.  I am about ready to introduce it to others in my office.

Opening an entry by double clicking on it (or pressing return when it is selected) is built into Qt. One click (or cursor movement) is used to select an entry (but not activate it).

I was thinking about suggesting that @s produce today's date as a default, but again decided not to as that might cause more problems than it solves.

I considered this but decided that not assuming what the user wants is probably the best policy. Entering +0 for today is pretty easy, after all.

The display in week view is a bar corresponding to the interval between the beginning and ending time of the event, i.e., the extent. When the extent is zero, the bar would have zero thickness and would not be visible even if displayed. In fact, you can think of it as being displayed, but just too thin to see. ;-)

I was also going to ask that the date at the bottom of the screen continue to show after cntrl-n is pushed, but decided not to as I have today's date elsewhere on my screen.

Pressing Ctrl-N to create a new item opens a new window. If it obscures part of the existing window you need only to drag it to one side. Better still, move the main window to one side before you press Ctrl-N. The default in Qt is to open a non-modal window in the center of the screen.

Good luck with the monthly billing struggle.
