In order to allow for better collaboration, I pestered the MudBytes
IMC admins to create an Evennia channel for us to use. Since our IMC
implementation is now very much usable (albeit very rough around the
edges), I have posted instructions for setting up IMC, mostly aimed at
the MudBytes network (you can just substitute a few values for other
networks, though). You may find the instructions at:

http://code.google.com/p/evennia/wiki/IMC2

Please try to set your test or development game up on here. If you
follow the instructions, your game will connect to the IMC network
whenever your game is up (even if that is rarely). It will put our
codebase name in the IMC listing and help get us worked into the
community.

Make sure you map the ievennia channel, that's there for our use. We
definitely want to make sure its existence is continued by using it.

Let me know if you have any questions,
Greg

It's a nice idea, but I assume this requires a mud actually online,
not just running on localhost: ...

As long as you have access to the internet, you can still use this even if it's on your local test setup (which is actually it's primary intended purpose right now). Join on up.
