thank you once again for coming to Euruko, all the attendees and the sponsors.
I was the funny guy running all over the place, screaming at you when you wanted to go with saucers full of onion soup to carpeted rooms, when kicking the electricity down by putting every laptop in charge simultaneously etc etc :), nervous that everything will just fall apart.
I hope that you enjoyed the event. We already received great positive feedback, so thank you!
Nonethless, whatever you think was done bad, don't leave it to yourself. Put that online, here, at your blog and post a link, whatever, so we *and* the people organizing the next Euruko can get feedback.
I also hope that the spirit of Euruko, going a bit against to current trends in developer conferences (overselling to vendors, ridiculously high prices, etc etc) was preserved and will continue. I will put together a knowledge-base of lessons learned, budget details, contacts to sponsors, stuff like that, which will be made available to next organizers.
Next Euruko can be quite different than this year's Euruko. Why not? The world will be a different one next year as well. Things shouldn't stay the same. But hopefully the spirit continues!
Karel, thanks for a great conference and giving me an excuse to visit Prague again. I had felt in love with this city when I stayed there for a semester studying at Universita Karlova a few years ago. To the future organizers - if you need any help from Polish User Group, don't hesitate to contact us!
Regards, Adam
PS. Croissants with coffee was a perfect match! :)

A big 'thank you' should go to the organizers, I thoroughly enjoyed
the presentations as much as the parties ;), and the setting (Prague)
was fabulous, too!
T his was THE best conference i've attendet. And i've been to some
( but they weren't about ruby ).
N ote that the food was absolutely delicious -> above all also
practical. Very clever. ( I like chech people, they make good
food. )
T he atmosphere was awesome. It really felt like at home and therefore
relaxed.
The conference was pure ruby through it all. Nice, simple
yet powerful.
You can easily comprehend why the number of attendees is vastly
growing.
Karel thank you very much!

thanks everybody for nice words about the conference.
It really was a hard work for us. We were only two in the core team who did all the work.
Special thanks should go to:
my colleague Karel for doing whole communication with english speaking attendees, sponsors and speakers, co-moderating the conference, doing the beautiful website, ordering the bags, t-shirts and notebooks, etc ...
my girlfriend Jana for prepairing the bags, being there, helping with outgiving the conference bags, cleaning all after some dirty attendees and for supporting me
Juergen for his help with selecting speekers, preparing talk schedule and co-moderating the conference
Peter and Mariana for helping with preparing the bags, helping with the registration, giving the bags and other very useful help.
Jan Kubr for programming the attendee registration form and other stuff.
Josef Slerka for communicating and negotiating with the university.
Vitek Burda for his car.
and of course special thanks to me for: establishing czechoslovakian ruby users group as legal body, solving all the problems with paypal, handling all financial stuff (budgeting, incoming and outgoing payments), accounting/book-keeping, organizing registrations and prepairing and personalising all the bags. buying drinks and water. etc ...
And few volunteers: - Sven Sushka for helping with carrying tables - Petr Krontorad for carrying things - Kyo and Pepe for helping with cleaning up - Beam for helping to solve power problems
I am sorry if i missed someone in this list, but be sure to have my thanks too.
Thanks also to all speakers. As I had no time to attend even one of the talks on the conference (I was always outside or at the door), please send your talk slides as soon as possible to allow me to know your talks.

even though I had some problems (my car was towed) I really enjoyed
EURUKO. Thank you for organizing such a cool conference. I've been to
other, more professional (a.k.a. commercial) conferences and if I had
to choose I would pick EURUKO every time.
see you all next year,
Frank
