Europa Eclipse plugin does't work

Hi Everyone,

I want to uso Eclipse to do a planning problem whit europa, ang I can
´t use de pluging.
I downloaded Eclipse IDE 3.5 java developers and the plugin for europa
2.5 and Eclipse 3.5

When I open a file .nddl happen:

Could not open the editor: The editor class could not be instantiated.
This usually indicates a missing no-arg constructor or that the
editor's class name was mistyped in plugin.xml.

And if you open a 'perspective' or a 'run of' also happend th same


What is the problem??

Hi Sanxano,
this is possibly because you didn't set properly environment variables
and eclipse plugin cannot find europa on your system.
just do the following before starting eclipse

export EUROPA_HOME=~/europa
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:$EUROPA_HOME/lib #
DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH on a Mac
export DYLD_BIND_AT_LAUNCH=YES #
Only needed on Mac OS X

I have done this:

santiago@Xano2:~$ echo $EUROPA_HOME
/home/santiago/europa
santiago@Xano2:~$ echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH
/home/santiago/europa/lib
santiago@Xano2:~$ echo $DYLD_BIND_AT_LAUNCH
YES

I use Eclipse Java Galileo SR2 (3.5.2)
And I put the org.ops.ui.europaplugin_2.5.0 plugin on de dropins
folder.

When I open a nddl file, eclipse said: Could not open the editor: The

editor class could not be instantiated. This usually indicates a
missing no-arg constructor or that the editor's class name was
mistyped in plugin.xml.

This probably means the libraries are not found.  Are you on Mac?  If so, it could be that you used  'LD_LIBRARY_PATH' instead of 'DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH'.  If not (which I suspect is the case), I'm not sure what to suggest - does anyone else have experience using the plugin in this way?

What does this command return:  'ls $EUROPA_HOME'

Is your problem solved? I get similar problem on Win7 64bit.

OS: Win7, 64bit

Eclipse: Eclipse Java EE IDE for Web Developers. Version: Juno Service Release 1 Build id: 20120920-0800 (Win7 64bit)

Plugin: org.ops.ui.europaplugin_2.5.0.jar (latest I can find on Europa download site)

After Eclipse starts, I use File> Open File to load Rover-initial-state.nddl, and an error occurs (Plug-in org.ops.ui.europaplugin was unable to load class org.ops.ui.editor.swt.NddlEditor.)
