I have tried saving the fxp on Ubuntu, then I sent it to someone who
has a better CPU on a Macintosh.
They could not open a file, although we had the same updates and
versions of EQ.

When they go to File->Open they get this error:
"Could not interpret this file: input stream error"

When they try to Open-With EQ, nothing happens. EQ opens with the
initial 3 columns that were given as an example.

I thought I should report this issue, because it is important to make
the fxp files work on all operating systems.

Let me know if I could help you any further fixing this issue.

PS I have tried opening the same file on Ubuntu, and it does open!

Send me a test project file if you can; I'll try to reproduce. Do you know the exact version numbers on each system (menu Help->About on windows or Program Menu->About on mac)? They should be fully compatible, but perhaps you've found a bug.

I will ask them to do the same, and inform you shortly. The fxp will be posted on the net for a download...

The fxp can be downloaded from:

SPECS

My computer:
Version: 0.96 beta (build 1027)
Architecture: 32 bit
OS: Linux
Language: English
Country: US
CPU: AMD V120 Processor
CPU Cores: 1

Their computer:
Version: 0.96 Beta (build 1027)
Architecture: 64 bit
Operating System: Mac Snow Loepard
Language: English
Country: Canada
CPU Name: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 750 @ 2.67GHz
CPU Cores: 4

Perhaps because mine is a 32-bit and their a 64-bit version?
