specifically mention a user in a post?

The support for hashtags is very nice, is there support for facebook style user mentioning in posts, aka, i start typing a name of someone in the network, and a list shows up of suggested users, or even a way to tag actual user names, like @chrismarx, etc

No, there isn't, although it has been suggested before.
