Subject: findAllShopListingsActive Problem

Hi Guys,

We have had a user report a discrepancy with Active Listings between the data from the API and what's reported in their shop as reported by the Etsy Website.

What we have found is that the total number of listings returned by the findAllShopListingsActive method matches the number of Active Listings they have as reported by the Etsy Website. However, after closer inspection, we have found that there are duplicate listings (approx 15 records duplicate - this can vary) being echoed in the data returned - Strangely, only in the first 550 listings out of 1065. Also, the positioning of the echoed data appears to be random.

I have not checked any other the other FindAllShopListingsXXXX or findAllReceiptListings method calls.

I've forwarded sample raw data via email.

Is anyone else seeing this?

G.

Are the duplication's position random per user or is it random per call?

I'll have to check for this later.

Hi list,

We've tracked down this bug and taken care of it—I just deployed the fix a
few minutes ago.

For those curious, this was an ordering issue in the event of many
sub-second listing creations. Similar timestamps were causing some ordering
issues. It's been resolved.

Thanks for the report and for the helpful raw data, Graeme.

-Chris

We have had feedback that the fix was temporary and the problem is still there. Also, there is now a thread in the BUG Forum - ref: http://www.etsy.com/teams/7720/bugs/discuss/10660388/page/1/
