delete a public pad

Does anyone have a simple way from the command line to delete a given
public pad?

PS: While I'm here, I'm noticing the following error in place of the
example pad at the bottom of etherpad.org:
An error occured while loading the pad
Uncaught Error: The module at "npm/lib/npm.js" does not exist. in
http://beta.etherpad.org/static/js/require-kernel.js (line 569)
