Subject: I18n and translations -- Etherpad lite in your mother tongue

Hey everyone,

there have been rumors about an internationalization system for Etherpad
lite. People have been asking about translations both here on the mailing
list and in our irc channel.
And incidentally, we are indeed planning to implement such a feature, which
will undoubtedly give etherpad lite a lift in usability. At the moment,
though, we're still far away from hacking it down on the keyboard but
sticking to the scratchpad to make sure this feature doesn't end up as a
misfeature but as an easy-to-use I18n solution for all users/admins,
developers and translators.

Have a look at our current draft at:
https://github.com/Pita/etherpad-lite/wiki/I18n-draft
Also, please do comment on the various points discussed in there (either by
editing the wiki directly, or by replying to this post). Tell us your
opinions and your experiences. Have your say!
