I've had my Thunderbird setup for Eternal September before, but have
moved to a new computer, Windows 7, Thunderbird 3.1.4, and don't have my
old settings (still have my login and password).

I've reconfigured to connect to news.eternal-september.org, but can't
get the full list of newsgroups when I go to the "Manage Newsgroup
Subscriptions" section.

Very odd. Anybody know how to make this work?

Thanks.

Under Account Settings, Server Settings, make sure you've got "Always
request authentication" ticked

After you make sure 'always request authentication' is marked, shut down
Tbird and reopen it, click on the E-S folder and Manage Subscriptions.
You may have to refresh to get all the group listings downloaded, will
take a few minutes.
