LOCAL TO CHICAGO - IN PERSON INTERVIEW IS REQUIRED

 

Skills: QA Tester, WinRunner, Silktest, QTP, Quality Center

 

Experience Required:
* 4 - 6 years of testing experience
* Experience with load and performance testing methodology, general system test case creation, and requirements decomposition
* Clear and concise verbal, written and interpersonal skills including the ability to work in teams
* Analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with initiative and accountability
* Knowledge of testing methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle.
* Experience with requirements review and manual test verification and results/metrics/KPI reporting or reporting software
* Ability to prioritize, organize, and accomplish multiple tasks, both as part of a team and independently
* Ability to manage time while working on multiple projects
* Experience with scripting automation tools like WinRunner, Silktest, or QTP
* Quality Center experience is a must
* Health insurance industry experience is a plus

 

Description / Responsibilities:
* Evaluate and test new or modified software products and validate documentation prior to release.
* Prepare and design test plans and cases (of moderate and high complexity, covering multiple business functions and/or platforms, as

needed) based on customer and software requirements and technical understanding of product architecture to attain quality software both economically and efficiently.
* Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements.
* Develop and execute test cases for both new and existing feature regression tests
* Execute manual and automated test cases according to documented test plans.
* Verify accuracy of test results and document results.
* Document defects in defect tracking system.
* Perform re-tests to verify resolution of defects.
* Reproduce, investigate, and debug software issues
* Develop and maintain project test deliverables in adherence to defined methodology
