Hi,

I am trying to import a text file into ARCMAP for the purposes of
drawing straight lines.

The file basically consists of 4 columns which are x1,y1,x2,y2.

All I want is for ARCMAP to draw a straight line from x1,y1 to x2,y2.

However, I can't see any function which allows me to do this.

The closest I have found is the ADD X,Y option which merely plots
points bases on the X1,Y1 values.

How do I get ARCMAP to draw lines instead ?

Many thanks,

Pete

you can create a simple kml file with the set of points you have and
import.. you can refer to any sample like kml files online and create
your own using a notepad find and replace..
