I remember our fellow member Sonya asked this same question long time
ago.

To save you time on replying to this thread, you may just choose one
question to answer.;)
Take it easy,everyone!;)
It's for us all to get to know one another by expressing ourselves in
simple English like Pln just said!
Thank you in advance and good night!
Claire
I was so stunned by the spectacle of thousands of Chinese students
repeating after the host or hostess of a ceremony in English that I
became speechless!!!
I'm curious about what Charles,John or Edward think of it
themselves!;)
As what I have observed myself since childhood,Orientals are either
fond of or used to group activities.
They tend to feel more secure or braver when among groups and this
power as one gives them a sense of belonging or something like that...
I recall there was a famous slogan of one of the biggest language
centres in Taiwan:
Conquer English,come to Gram(Language Centre)!
Did you get the picture(of what I tried to get across to you)?
Many orientals have to learn English whether they like it or not as it
represents better grades and better lives, but they regard it as their
enemy!LOL
They also believe in repetitions and memorizations instead of
independent thinking which is a fundamental difference between Western
education and Oriental one!!!
I've been trying to figure out the many reasons why Orientals can't
seem to master languages as fast as other non-English speakers.
Edward was very right the other day!
Once they adapt the wrong methods, they waste too much time, money and
energy going nowhere without significant progress...which is very sad.
to me..:(
And Charles,haha!:D
I'm funny as to make you laugh or as a weird person?
Please elaborate on your findings, will you?LOL
And Edward, what's the reason why you can't log on TED in Korea?
And John, about the quote form Josney's ending message,
I had a hard time recalling where it was from, too!LOL
I suppose it's Confusius' words...(now and today because maybe
tomorrow I'll recall the exact words in Chinese.LOL)
Nice day to us all!
