Hi Ed!


I didn't know that cell phones could be so useful as a medical tool and as a bank service in developing countries. And I found impressive that most of cell phone subscriptions (68%) around the world are made in developing countries (at least by the end of 2006).


One thing I think will revolution the way people communicate is the reduction in price of the technology of video on cell phones. Maybe it could have medical applications, like directing medical emergencies in uninhabited places or in places that doesn't have adequate medical care. Moreover, it would be valuable in people communication.


I agree and enjoy the idea that cell phones help countries leapfrog technology.
