Hi all!

About this topic, I'd like to present a curious point of view of a friend of mine who is graduated in geography. I was recently talking with him about this. In accordance with him, before this discussion we have to have in mind that the global warming is a natural process of earth that would occur EVEN IF the human race didn't exist on the planet. In accordance with what he learnt in his course, the earth continuously goes through periods of global warming and global cooling, continuously. And, AT THE PRESENT TIME, the earth is in the period of global warming.

In fact, I'm presenting this idea just to create polemics and hear what you have to say. I know that the human being has a fundamental role on the undesirable global warming. But the idea that I'd like to introduce here, and that I hadn't realized before I talked to this friend, is that the human kind is just ACCELERATING a natural process that would occur inevitably.

So, what you think? I've never confirmed at any place what he said, but because hi's graduated in geography, I think the information is reliable.

Best regards,

Krompter

Hello

I had a similar conversation a while ago with one of my employer who is a scientist he is a medical scientist but he is well read and have a very big telescope that is taking pictures 24 hours a day  of the stars He said to me that there is no proof that we the humans are the course of global warming that the earth go through these changes as time goes by That just as our sun will one day burn it self out so are the changes in the earth I must add that as we really do not know what will happen as there is no documentation as to what will happen in the end we are all thinking that we are at fault and must do what we can to stop global warming Is it something that we can stop I do not know but this is the year of election in the USA and it give the politician something to talk about

In regard to this, most scientists are alwaya in doubt about anything. Global warming is out there! Deforestation is alarming and pollution is already uncontrollable. What signs do they want to believe we're massevily destroying our planet? Even if they do believe, it's too late.

Hello,

The idea that Krompter addressed, i think is true. I am thinking of the ways that human beings accelerate the process of earth warming.

I think one of them is industry, the smoke and heat generated by machines may increase the temperature. perhaps destroying jungles also affect it.

What do you think other involved factors are?

Enjoyable subject avnisha and
interesting view point my friends Ria and Krompter.

Thinking a little bit on these view point I found maybe a polemic issue.

If the world is going on to a period of global warming with or without human interventions
maybe the cientist´s main focus would be other. As a matter of fact we human know that
we can´t to live forever if the world temperature always increase. Watter and food
will be prejudice without doubt. The biggest problem is that we know that we cant to keep alive and we continue contributing with global warm. And someone said before that humans are intelligent race... LOL just joking.

This fact remember a scene of Matrix Movie which a personage named Agent Smith said somethime like that:

"I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species. I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You move to an area, and you multiply, and multiply, until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet, you are a plague, and we are the cure."

Agent Smith

Oh god. Do you think he was right ?

See you soon friends

Ed.

I agree with the idea of Ed that the human race acts like a plague. In
fact, we behave like a virus, a leech or a parasite to this planet.

Can we stop behaving like a virus? Well, that's a hard question to
answer. First of all, we better define what's a "virus behaviour".
Altough a good definition was already given by Agent Smith, I'd like
to add other feature of a virus: its growing is unsustainable, because
its consume of resources is chaotic.

Following this, the next question is: Can we live sustainably, in a
way that the resources can be renewed as we consume them? I think this
is a key question for minimizing our "virus behavior" and to not
accelerate the global warming.

I think the worst involved factor is the exaggerated consume of
gasoline and coal, which both throw to the air the carbon stored in
the subsoil in the form of carbon dioxide. If we didn't use them, all
this carbon would remain under the ground, in its original place. So,
I think the humanity should focus in finding out a better source of
power. A promising source of power is coming out in the future:
hydrogen. There's a lot of researches going on. Hydrogen would be
ideal, because its combustion releases pure water (so pure that it can
be drunk!), and not carbon dioxid.

First of all ,I would like to thank you KROMPTER for making us familiar with your very new, logical and different idea on this topic.Though I have heard & seen many discussions on the above said topic before but the view you put forward definitely gives a new direction to this global issue. It gives  us all a lot more food for thought & now before blaming the humans for bringing this disaster closer to our planet EARTH we will also think that this phenomenon is not solely due to the disturbances we did to our climate but this is one of the phases through which the earth  undergoes and it's the same natural process which has also brought the ICE AGE.Only the difference is that we humans are only giving more acceleration to this process because of our increasingly ambitious nature of playing with nature in order to extract more from it.Though we should definitely make a determined effort to stop this process from gaining a faster pace.
