I think the first steps are to get a good basic vocabulary and then a
basic grammar and to practice a lot. Afterwards, make as much skype/
penpals friends as you can to practice with, and to practice reading,
listening to podcasts and watching videos or movies that you can
understand enough well. You foreign friends not need to be native
speakers, just try to find well motivated learners as we.
