Dear all,
We received evaluations from the mentoring organisations and compiled
the data. On 23 projects, 17 were validated while 6 did not meet the
initial goal. Most of the mentoring organisations highlight the fact
that most students were very committed to their projects and were very
impressed by the improvements done so far.
The feedback about the program itself seems very promising, the main
issue raised by several mentors is about the schedule. It appears that
announcing the program earlier and spread the news in more
communities/website would also increase the number of applications and
potential interested among European students. Also, we keep track of
all your suggestions and will do our best to implement them for the
next edition of SOCIS.
We would like to thank all of you for your participation,
Finally, the program is not yet finished, and we also invite all
students to continue to contribute to Open Source Projects, either by
SOCIS or other means.
Keep up the good work !
Greetings,
