Hi all,

Next week, 28/20-2/11, I will be in the Bay Area to give a course. Any Erlangers have the time and inclination for an rather impromptu erlounge. As yet I have nothing planned so I should be able to do any of these evenings.

Robert

Me four!

I've put up a doodle -- http://www.doodle.com/yzrqiz5vicscmptc -- to find out when you all want to meet up.

Cheers,

This is great! Geoff what does your doodle poll say is the best evening? And where shall we go?

Hi all - the great and wise doodle says Monday, October 29, 2012 7:30 PM is the best time to do this one.

I'll find out tomorrow if the Heroku office is available, failing that I'll find a nearby location.

Cheers,

Geoff, where are we to meet? Has doodle or Heroku told us? If not Heroku anyone have a good suggestion? I know nothing, or very little about good places in SF.

Good News Everyone! (in SF)

The Heroku office at 321 11th St (San Francisco 94103) is open for an Erlounge tonight at 7:30pm. (We're between Basil Cafe on 11th @Folsom and Slims) We'll have beer, DNA Pizza, a projector and nifty sound set up in case someone has a lightning talk up their sleeve.

See you all there at 19:30 :)

Cheers,
-Geoff

We have a problem, anyone suggest somewhere we can meet? Or must we change day?

Great Geoff you just answered my question of where we are to be. See you all there then.

OK, so quick update: Tonight's Erlounge will be at 371 (not 321) 11th st at DNA Pizza.

This is just down the (11th) street and is in fact a Pizza place with beer on tap, so both will be hotter and colder respectively. Also free - Heroku will run a tab.

Heroku is diligently preparing for a possible US-EAST-1 Amazon AWS outage due to Hurricane Sandy, so our basement will be full of engineers tonight.

If you show up to the office tonight, we'll point you down the road to DNA Pizza, so don't worry about getting lost. Please feel free to email me directly if you still have questions about the updated location.

Sorry for the switch-a-roo, hope to see you there, _at DNA PIZZA_, tonight (7:30pm :).

Cheers everyone,
-Geoff

Yes, thanks to Geoff, Tristan and Heroku for organising the erlounge and thanks to everyone who came. I hope you enjoyed yourself, I did. 'Til the next time when I visit the Bay Area.
