Newbie & wanting to know about dilantin toxicity

Hi! I am new. 2 wks ago I was told they almost lost me. When I get hot I start to overheat and become dehydrated. My doctor has now told me when that happens my potassium level goes thru the drain and my dilantin level becomes toxic or on the verge of toxic. Hi, I am a fairly recently diagnosed older person (in my 50's), with seizure disorder. I had one tonic clonic seizure of unknown origin and to date have been controlled on Dilantin. I am here to meet others in the same situation. Thanks! helenz
