I finished my Masters in Public health ,with epidemiology as one of its
module, last year. What are the job oppurtunities can I look through in
epdidemiological perspectives? I used SPSS and STATA in my course. Is there
any epidemiological software shoud I learn to get into this field? Please,
Can anyone let me know that?
Many thanks

SAS is VERY expensive, but unavoidable with datasets exceeding millions of records.
R is free, and mandatory if you want to do serious statistical analysis and report results in tolerable graphical form. There are a number of epidemiology packages for R around:
Epi - A package for statistical analysis in epidemiology
epiR - Functions for analysing epidemiological data
epibasix - Elementary Epidemiological Functions for a Graduate Epidemiology\Biostatistics Course
epicalc - Epidemiological calculator
epitools - Epidemiology Tools
Best regards,
Bendix Carstensen
Epi package maintainer.

A calculator-type program that may be of use is OpenEpi - it is an open
source, web-based, platform-independent program -
