Hi,
Often we ask for your signature - now we are asking you to join our online survey! Next year's European elections will be very important for Europe and we’re now thinking how to best mobilise as a citizens' movement. We want to involve you in our work to build a good plan. We would like to know if you participated in the last elections to the European Parliament in 2014 and why or why not?
Please note: The survey is on a new discussion platform, on which you will have to register. It's a small step to do, but the new platform offers new opportunities to get involved.

The European elections are the largest exercise in multi-national democracy in the world, with over 500 million citizens' lives being affected by the results.
But in 2014, turnout for the European Parliament elections was the lowest ever of any European election in history since direct elections to the European Parliament began in 1979. [1] The low turnout was a clear win for the far-right and nationalist political parties that want to see the EU disempowered, or even abolished altogether.
Nationalists and far-right extremists have recently made big electoral gains in European countries. Now there is a real danger that the nationalists could do the same with the European elections, and thereby take an even bigger step forward in their goal of collapsing the European project. And with it, our dream of a more democratic and social Europe.
The far-right sees the upcoming election as a huge opportunity. After taking several governments, they now want to take over the EU parliament, too. The far-right’s preparations are in full swing, so it's high time we got ready, too. That’s why we need your input to know how we can best prepare to beat the far-right at the ballot-box next year.
If the far-right and Eurosceptic parties continue to engage to their bases to vote while the silent majority of Europeans that support the European project stay home, we risk letting the European Union be run by those who want to see the European project end.
Will you take part in the survey, Vladimir, and help our community to formulate an effective plan to engage Europeans in the run-up to the next election? Please let us know - did you vote in the 2014 European Parliament elections? Why or why not?

We look forward to registering you on our new discussion platform, and thank you for completing the registration step for participation.
Thank you,
Mika and the rest of the WeMove.EU team
