You did it!

Your generous support and tireless campaigning moved mountains in 2017.

Below, I'd like to share just a taster of the many successes we've celebrated in partnership with tribal peoples this year.

Survival stands for a better world, where human diversity is treasured, and the value of Earth’s tribal people is appreciated.

Thank you for supporting our vision – for all our humanity.

Stephen Corry
Director

P.S. If you live in the US, this is your last chance to make a tax-deductible gift to support our vital work! Thank you to those who have already.

In 2017 we worked hard to prevent the annihilation of uncontacted tribes.

Our moving film for uncontacted tribes highlights the genocide of the world's most vulnerable peoples and is one of the weapons we are using to lobby Brazil to end cuts to its Indian Affairs Department.

If you missed it first time round, please take two minutes to watch and share as widely as possible!
Our investigators exposed a shoot on sight policy in India’s Kaziranga National Park. Fifty people, many tribal, had been extrajudicially killed in just three years.

The media coverage we secured caused a storm in India: killings are dramatically down since. So is poaching.

You can still watch, read, or listen to the extraordinary BBC report.
Survival’s support for Brazil’s Guarani people stretches back decades. Despite the theft and destruction of their lands, they’re still fighting back.

We provided vital funds to help them in their struggle, and our "Tribal Voice" project has given them a platform to speak out about the violence they face. In the words of our Guarani partners: "We are suffering a humanitarian crisis and the media is hiding our plight. Thanks to Survival for 'Tribal Voice'."
Our landmark report “How will we survive?” brought a hidden scandal to global attention: the destruction of Congo Basin tribes in the name of conservation.

Over many months of fieldwork in Central Africa, we documented over 200 incidents of abuse against “Pygmy" tribespeople.

We are proud to be leading the global fight against human rights abuses in the name of conservation.
We propelled the inspirational work of the Guajajara Guardians to the international stage and supported their work to protect their forest and their uncontacted Awá neighbors. The Guardians said “Please continue to help us. Our work is good for the whole world: for everyone who breathes, and who cares about protecting nature."
And finally... there's still time to buy your stunning “We, the People” 2018 calendar.
All profits go towards our urgent work for tribal peoples' rights.
