Thousands of SumOfUs members and their families are struggling to pay rent or put food on the table -- because of the pandemic.

Here at SumOfUs, we always do everything we can to show up for each other. If you’re able, will you chip in for a fellow SumOfUs member in need?

If you’ve saved your payment information with SumOfUs, your donation will go through immediately:

Someone else reading this exact same email right now is in crisis. They’re out of work and trying to keep up with bills, pay for childcare, and buy groceries.

So today, I’m not asking you to sign a petition, or chip in for a lawsuit. Today I’m asking if you’ll help a fellow SumOfUs member in need.

Our team put together a page on our website for members like you to ask for help during the pandemic. There are hundreds of urgent requests from fellow bee-loving, rainforest-saving people like you. But right now, they’re in dire need of help themselves.

I’m determined to get help to as many people in our community as possible. Can you help out too? If you chip in $2 today, then we’ll pool donations together and distribute it all to fellow SumOfUs members in need.

Earlier this year, I reached out to the SumOfUs community with this same request. And I’ll never forget what happened next: thousands of big-hearted people like you dug deep and sent a flood of donations to their fellow members in need.

We were able to distribute thousands of dollars to SumOfUs members and their families around the world -- it was a moment of pure, viral kindness that sent people a lifeline.

Like Nathan. When the covid crisis first hit the US, he had to resort to eating donated food and delaying bills payments.

But because Nathan is a SumOfUs member, he knew about our global support platform, where people can ask each other for help. So he took a leap of faith and posted his story. And someone like you chipped in to help him. He said:

“I've been praying for help so much, and to see this message just now has brought tears to my eyes. I knew there was still plenty of good left in the world. Thank you so much, the entire community is such a blessing.”

Our community has managed to help so many like Nathan this year. But  the requests aren’t slowing down, and we’ve just run out of the money we raised together.

So today I’m asking if you’ll help once more. If you chip in a bit today, we’ll distribute 100% of your gift to these members in need. There’s over one hundred requests, but we’ll do our best to send something to everyone. You can make sure your fellow SumOfUs members know they aren’t alone.

Even if you’ve never met them, these are the people that fought with you to take on the biggest corporations in the world. You’ve worked with them to save the bees, protect human rights, and fight for our planet.

Your donation will be much more than money. It is a message of hope. It is a light in these hard times. It is a symbol of how strong the SumOfUs community truly is. I promise, you’ll make someone’s year.

Thanks for all that you do,
Deborah, Danny and the team at SumOfUs
