Demand a Refund Check for Every Person Affected.      Sign Now      Trump's trade war that he started almost immediately when he took office made everyday life impossibly expensive for people in the U.S. Tariffs on goods from Mexico, Canada, China, and beyond drove up the cost of groceries, cars, phones, clothes — nearly everything.   Experts estimate the average U.S. household paid about $1,000 more in 2025 thanks to Trump's tariffs.   Now, the Supreme Court has ruled those tariffs were illegal. The law Trump used to enact these extra costs does not actually authorize a president to impose tariffs in this instance.   Companies are using this ruling as the basis to sue for refunds. But the truth is, when corporation paid these tariffs, they passed on the extra costs to consumers!   Average individuals and families paid the real price — and we are the ones that deserve the refunds!   Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas has thankfully introduced the Payback Act to make that happen.
