Gilead Sciences is refusing to share its antiviral COVID-treatment patent.  Tell Gilead that there is no room for pandemic profiteering while millions of lives hang in the balance.  Send an email  Gilead could save millions of lives with its COVID-fighting remdesivir drug, but the pharma giant refuses to drop its patent rights which would allow quick distribution and a cheaper price for the drug. We may already have a treatment for this global pandemic presently locking down 1.7 billion people and tanking the global economy, but Gilead is focusing on profits instead of saving lives. Public pressure is already working on drugmakers internationally -- AbbVie just announced it will drop its patent on its own antiviral COVID-treatment and Gilead itself reversed its absurd "Rare Disease" status request for remdesivir. An email from you to Gilead Sciences CEO and board of directors will go a long way in showing that the world's citizens care more about showing solidarity in manufacturing and distributing a cure than having record-breaking pharmaceutical profits.
