Hi,

Just this week, thousands of us called for a strong law on single-use plastics. It’s a key moment: On Tuesday the European Parliament will vote on the new single-use plastics law. But some Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) are falling prey to the plastics lobby, and have proposed amendments to the law that could render it less effective.

We need to make another final push if we want the strongest plastics legislation possible. We don't have much time to convince our MEPs before they vote next week, so we need to reach out directly as their constituents. Imagine them getting dozens or even hundreds of personal messages each - delivered to their inboxes. Will you reach out directly to your MEPs, and ask them to stop plastic pollution? We’re making it easy:

Tell your MEP to stop plastic pollution!

European elections are coming up soon, and all MEPs know it. As their constituents, we can demand that they vote for strong plastics legislation, or lose the support of their voters. If each of us emails our MEPs, they will see a massive swell of pressure against plastics before next week’s final vote!

It has been a long road to get here, in which our community has made a big impact. Our community has been campaigning on plastics throughout each stage in this process, but much of our work could be in vain unless we can convince our MEPs to vote for a strong law on plastics next week.

Email your MEP: vote no to plastic pollution!

So please, use your voice and call on your MEP to stop plastic pollution! It’s very simple and will take less than a minute. If enough of us take action, we'll be able to make sure the Parliament votes through a strong plastics law!

Don’t wait, do it now: send a message to your MEPs!

Thank you,

Mika (Bordeaux), Jörg (Lübeck), Virginia (Madrid) and the entire WeMove team
