Meeting the highest ambitions of the
Paris Agreement is no small task, but thanks to
the leadership of the European cities at this
year’s C40 Talks in Barcelona, we’re on the path
toward a greener, more equitable future.
Mayors Ada Colau of Barcelona, Giuseppe
Sala of Milan and Georgios Kaminis of
Athens are among the 32 global mayors
who have pledged to
deliver inclusive climate action as part of
their work to achieve the goals of the
Paris Agreement. At C40 Talks,
they called upon the European Commission to make
the same commitment, ahead of its announcement
of a long-term climate strategy at COP24.
These 32 mayors know that those
least responsible for climate change get hit
first & hardest. | |
