In December 2025,
Belgium's Constitutional Court upheld a groundbreaking
law banning the import of hunting trophies from
endangered and at-risk species. The law protects
elephants, lions, rhinos, jaguars, chimpanzees,
cheetahs, hippos, and many more vulnerable animals from
being reduced to decorative souvenirs. France cannot
remain on the sidelines while its European neighbor
takes decisive action to defend wildlife.
Sign now to urge France to
pass a ban on the import of hunting trophies from
endangered and protected species.
Belgium's
Parliament voted unanimously for this law. This was a
rare show of unity reflecting overwhelming public
opposition to trophy hunting. Before the ban,
Belgium had been importing body parts from species
already struggling for survival. Now, those
loopholes are closed. Trophy hunting targets some of the
world's most iconic and threatened animals. These
species are already facing habitat loss, climate change,
poaching, and shrinking populations. Belgium's decision
shows governments can stand up for endangered wildlife.

that France introduce and pass legislation banning the
import of hunting trophies from endangered and protected
species.
