Dear Friends, the new government of Brazil created the law that monitors and controls the activities of NGOs. This action is coordinated by a General of the army supporting the military dictatorship. This law can have consequences on the freedom of expression and action of NGOs in defense of the environment, human rights and environmental advocates.

1º OF JANUARY OF 2019

Secretary of Government of the Presidency of the Republic

Art. 5 The Secretariat of Government of the Presidency of the Republic is responsible for:

II - supervise, coordinate, monitor and monitor the activities and actions of international organizations and non-governmental organizations in the national territory;
