Fossil fuel companies have received
corporate welfare for decades. Demand the U.S. eliminate tax breaks
and loopholes for big oil and gas!

Every year,
like a giant dirty birthday present, oil and gas companies
receive their favorite gift of all: billions of dollars from
American taxpayers' wallets. It's a form of lovey-dovey
corporate welfare in which the government helps prop
up the very industry most responsible for U.S.
contributions to climate change. On top of that,
these corporations also benefit from loopholes and
preferential laws that allow them to skip over the process of
cleaning up the pollution they create! Climate activist Greta Thunberg has called these
subsidies, tax breaks, and loopholes a "disgrace" — and she's
100% right.
If the U.S. is to live up to its
Paris Climate Agreement targets, eliminating these fossil fuel
sweetheart deals is essential. Instead of throwing away
taxpayer money right into the belly of the climate change
beast, the U.S. government should be using those
billions of dollars to fund progressive climate
initiatives like building green energy infrastructure
and jobs! Just this one move would be a radical game-changer
and could help us turn the tide on climate change. But right
now, Republicans are blocking this strategy because
they prefer cozying up to their wealthy fossil fuel
buddies. So President Biden needs to hear from us.
Sign the petition to demand that President Biden
and the U.S. Congress eliminate subsidies and environmental
loopholes that support big oil and gas!
