Hi
There’s still time to
register for our webinar on Wednesday on
“Transformation points: achieving the speed and
scale required for full
decarbonisation”.
When: April
17th at 17:00 CET (8:00 am Pacific, 11:00 am
Eastern)
Speakers:
Niklas Höhne,
NewClimate Institute Lisa Luna, NewClimate
Institute Robert Brecha, Climate
Analytics Yannick Monschauer, Ecofys - A
Navigant Company
Content: Reaching
a “transformation point”—the moment when new
technologies, behaviours or market models achieve
critical mass and take off—can deliver the speed
and scale needed to get to the zero-carbon future
we need to meet the Paris Agreement’s 1.5˚C
warming limit. We’ll dive into the details of
what’s needed to reach that point for three key
solutions:
• storage for renewable
energy, • electric vehicles in
passenger road transport, and • the
decarbonisation of high temperature heat in cement
production
We’ll also introduce you to our
newly redesigned decarbonisation data portal,
where you can track decarbonisation progress
yourself for 34 countries and 6 regions through 41
indicators.
In case you can’t join, you can
also download the main report and summary from
our website.
