Fast forward to the end of 2021, Europe is leading the world’s response to the climate crisis, we’ve got a green recovery for people and planet and dirty coal is getting to be a thing of the past. How do we get there? We need to move the Polish Government.

Currently the Polish Government is standing in the way of European progress on the climate crisis. They block crucial votes and they keep producing more and more of the world’s dirtiest fossil fuel, coal. Moving the Polish Government is not easy, but we have a secret weapon: Polish farmers.

Farmers are on the frontline of the climate crisis, and are feeling pushed to the limits by their government. Can you help support an innovative new strategy that will bring Polish farmers and young people together to move their government on climate change? It’ll be the last thing the Polish government is expecting and just what we need to unblock them on climate change.

2021 is the year for bold strategies to fight the climate crisis. The clock is ticking on this project, and we need to make the decision to press go before Christmas. But to do that, we need to know whether we have the money in the bank to afford it.

Would you chip in a few euros to help get this daring strategy of the ground?

I’ll donate €8
I’ll donate €12
I’ll surprise you!

In 2020 we’ve been laying the groundwork for this project. We hired a coordinator in Poland who has already begun holding some conversations between farmers and young people. Guess what? There’s a willingness to unite forces against a government blocking progress in Poland and in Europe.

But a strategy like this takes work. We identified eight local leaders active for change in their region. We want to train and support them, and we need to cover the cost of phone bills, train tickets, posters and banners.

The budget is 15,000 Euro for a pilot to get this project up and running as soon as possible. But we need your support. Can you chip in a few euros?

I’ll surprise you!

Thank you,

Olga (Bologna) on behalf of the WeMove Europe team

PS: You can just imagine it; tractors and harvesters, young people and their placards. Together, absolutely unstoppable.

The European Union is one of the most important drivers against the climate crisis. But we can only respond as a unified front, so we need to find a way to unblock the Polish Government. And this could be the strategy we need to make it work. I hate asking for money at times like this, but for those who can support, please consider supporting this: Donate.
