It feels as though every week,
we hear news of gruesome undercover footage collected at
one factory farm or another that reveals overt,
needless violence against the caged animals
within. And that's the cruelty that's
technically illegal -- the legal forms of abuses are
just as bad. Battery or gestational cages
that are made to constrict the animals within from any
movement at all. Conveyer belt techniques of slaughter
that leave many animals fully alive when their
throats are slit or their feathers are boiled
off. The list goes on and on.
This conversation is not new.
The horrors of factory farms are well-known and
well-documented, and most Americans believe that the
conditions in which animals are slaughtered en masse are
unethical. It's time for the USDA to do something about
it. Sign now if you agree that
fixing the horrors of factory farms is long overdue!
We demand comprehensive animal welfare reform in factory
farming
now!
Thank you,
